You are carrying the weight of that legacy—and your own gear—to prove you have what it takes to shoulder the burden. The Objective

• Distance: 8.2 Miles

• The Load: Recommended 35–45 lbs (The All-American standard) but ultimately Rucker’s Choice. 

• The Goal: Maintain a steady, purposeful pace to honor the mission timeline.

All-American Standard: The 82nd Airborne prides itself on the "Airborne Shuffle." If you want to truly earn that patch, aim to keep your pace under 15 minutes per mile.
